Designing- A child's best use of the canvas

The great designer Saul Bass has said, “Design is thinking made visual”. Designing is something that is found inevitably everywhere. It is something without which our eyes wouldn’t be able to gawk at the marvelous wonders of this world. Everything- starting right from this page to the marvelous architectural wonders and to the natural world- is designing in some form or the other.

Designing is something that starts very early in a human’s life. Knowingly or unknowingly, we tend to create designs everywhere and at all times. Designing for the eye can be done using simply anything or, for that matter, nothing at all. Making sand-castles on the sea shore, crafting paper planes, writing an article or illustrating anything using a pen- everything is thinking made visual.

When a child is born, he is not able to communicate well with his surroundings. In fact, it is we, who are unable to understand what he is trying to communicate with his loud shouts, sweet smiles and insensible (to us) sounds. When he grows up a bit, we tend to shout at him when we see him ‘scribbling and destroying the walls’. He does the simple use of a crayon, chalk or a pen to illustrate his ideas on his huge canvas- the walls. We, as adults, think a hundred times before moving our pens for creating one simple design, but the child does no thinking and creates more than a hundred complex designs in the same span of time or even less than that. For him, there is no limit on canvas size or material to be used to create his innumerable and ever-changing innovative designs!

Well it has been rightly said, Designers never make mistakes, they only make changes!

portrayed here.by pen one can have the basic ideology of the creation
of a better living and better understanding.the need of hour is not

All of us are aware that it is next to impossible that human can survive without communicating,
then have you ever thaught that how are the deaf and the dumb people surviving .This is
possible only because of a PEN , which is a very common thing for all of us - the normal people.
But it means a lot for the people who cannot speak or are unablr to hear . The importance of a pen
in there life is totally different as for a normal person. There are a lot of ways for us to communicate with
each other , but for a deaf or a dumb a pen is the only way through which he/she can communicate with
each other and with us.A deaf can understand others by reading and can express himself by speaking
whereas a dumb can understand others by hearing them and can express himself by writing.
A pen plays an equivalent role in both the cases and hence is equally important for both a deaf and a
dumb.It is said that whenever god takes something from us, he always returns it back in some or the other way.
They must be thankfull to god that they are blessed with the eyes which is a neccessity for reading and writing .
One the other hand a pen means nothing for a blind person who can neither write nor read.

"But this is neither here not there why do I mention it ? Ask my pen it governs me, I govern not it "

In my sketch you can see that, there is a man writing with his PEN and the pen is burning in flames. It shows that a pen burn itself to give some information to others or the next generation. It is simply represents the teachers. Teachers also put all their efforts to give information and some knowledge to others.

The knowledge could be bad or could be good. Like, if a bad persons holds a pen and write something wrong it will be bad for others and then they adopt that bad knowledge, but if a good persons write from that pen then it will be good knowledge to others. Same thing happens with teachers, if a teacher is good and have some good knowledge the students of that teacher will gain some good information anmd knowledge and bad teachers gives bad knowledge.

Its obvious that when get empty, people throw it out and when teacher's teaching is done. People dont even appreciate them. Which is not so good.

WE should always thank to them, that they are so graceful to us.

I hope now you know the meaning of my sketch.

pen

"Act of putting pen to paper encourages pause for thoughts this in turn makes us think more deeply about life, which helps us regain our equilibrium"
Pen is the tongue of mind. No one knows what he can do till he tries. Trial and endeavors are the test of determining ability. As we can never judge a book by its cover and it’s indeed impossible to know the content of a book by merely looking at its cover. . One has to read every page and turn it over until the last one is reached. as a writer always says , in a mood of faith and hope my work goes on ,a ream of fresh paper lies on my desk waiting for the next book as I am a writer and i take up my pen to write similarly the will to do something is a force strong enough to move mountains .The courage of ones conviction makes it much easier to take the first step , it is not always necessary to have earth shaking talents ,dancing in all its form cannot be excluded from the noble education dancing with feet , with ideas , with words and the need that I add is one must be able to dance with a pen .A goal is essential to prompt someone to keep trying . If at first you don’t succeed try try and try again. the first thing coming to a persons mind is his or her life or courier , so never step learning and writing read grow and expand your medium with a pen and a paper to pen down your thoughts...

camera in mobile

With the invention of camera in mobiles a new revolution has taken place & with that revolution mobiles become costlier although today you get mobiles with camera even @ rs2000.
It becomes very easy for the people to shot their pics anywhere they want specially in bathrooms.with that invention people started  taking pictures or they shoot video even they are performing any special task for eg: students in classrooms click more pics rather than reading their topics...
with mobile camera's  many illegal work has taken place such as DPS RK PURAM MMS scandal in 2004 and if we go into deep then we 'll find much better things then that scandal(god save such invention).I am still confused whether this invention is beneficial or not........

spy camera can bring down the crime rate

Camera(s) are very important part of our life. With the use of camera we can not only cherish our memories but we can also reduce some crimes like robbery, murder cases, etc. by using spy camera(s).
With the advanced technology, spy camera(s) are getting more and more popular for legal use even.
Some survey reports reflects that the damages from stealing in the supermarkets and big shopping complex are conspicuously reduced only because of spy camera(s). The records provided by the spy camera, victims who gets stolen while withdrawing money from the ATMs could finally get their money back. From this aspect, it seems that people are getting used to spy camera in daily life. Spy camera(s) can be very useful and vital to the police and private detectives in their undercover work. However, there are some negative points which are heard and related to privacy. once a spy camera is placed in bathrooms, bedrooms, dressing rooms, etc. one can hardly believe that their privacy can get respected.
When spy camera(s) are used correctly, they are great for fighting and protecting against crime. Ofcource, responsibility is what matters most in applying spy technology.

CAMERA :Its uses

Today , if one starts searching for a truth,he/she can rarely find something. But,I know it. A thing which never lie us is a camera. Yes,a camera ! such a common thing for all of us. It always shows us the truth and give us most of the reality .

A camera is not only a need , but now it has become a necessity for the SECURITY purpose . From primary schools to the airports, from a road to the hospitals and at all those places where a man can reach , a camera had already reached there in the form CCTV camera's . Even to raise our voice against any illegal practice that we observe in our surroundings , we must have a legal proof which only a camera can provide us . With the help of a camera ,we can save our old and sweet memories so that we can remember that moments for a long time and share our loneliness with those memories whenever we are alone. Try to imagine a world without a camera . Without a camera we will not be able to enjoy all those pictures which we see in our books, which has now become a means of knowledge for us. no movies , no cartoons and serials . How boring our lives would be without a camera, we can imagine now.
"Most of us use to carry camera in our pockets as a feature of our cell phone , this is just for the sake of our entertainment ,then why can't we carry it for the betterment of our nation? : capture truth to prove yourself a true Indian."

A good snapshot stops a moment from running away with a CAMERA

Camera is the best invention by man .It is the best device to capture the best moments of your life , For snapping the sweet memories or the golden moments , one need not to be a processional photographer .The camera has enabled us to keep those sweet memories that often flutter by too quickly .The modern technology has made it so very handy to snap a picture any where or at any point of time and get it developed very easily. For this you also need not go to prem studio or Kodak.Today cellphones have inbuilt cameras .One need not carry the heavy age old cameras while going on a holiday or for a picnic .You can use your phones as and when required and store your memories in your records either on a piece of paper or on a computer.Going through photos is always considered to be the best way of bringing up back the old glorious movements back to life .It brings a broad smile on ones face and leaves an everlasting impression on ones heart. It gives a very soothing and a pleasant feeling .It restores our glorious movements , taking other instance the CCTV installed by various educational institution , companies and by the shop owners. Even if we find someone violating the traffic rules we can click the defaulters picture and upload it on the websites to help the traffic police.
"A loads of thanks to the man behind this wonderful invention which has helped through a great extent far and wide"....

Cam-ERA

Clicking photographs is something each and every one of us does. On ‘getting the right moment’, we feel highly blissful. Starting right from the camera obscura (an early form of camera consisting of a dark box with a tiny hole or lens in the front and a small screen inside, on which the image appears) to the ultra modern 3-D camera, the camera has evolved a long way through. The Oxford English Dictionary defines the word ‘camera’ as ‘a piece of equipment for taking photographs, moving pictures or television pictures’. But in today’s techno-savvy young world, the camera is not just any equipment. It is an 80% quencher of our thirst for entertainment. Movies, documentaries, ads, newspapers, magazines, websites, blogs—in fact anything that we can imagine has the role of a camera in it in some way or the other. The camera is probably the most mandatory asset for anything related to the media! Seriously, imagining our lives without this small device is something unimaginable in this Cam-ERA!

My simple picture illustrates one of the most important modes of entertainment in this ‘Camera-era’: LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION- the three basic words spoken by every film-maker since time immemorial supplemented by the eternal “Say cheese and SMILE”! :)

Memory of the day I cherish

Camera is a medium for capturing moments that we wish to cherish and keep it so that the memory of the moment is not lost. One such moment of my life was when I visited a place that was "A Home for Deprived”. A place where you see children of age group 05-18 yrs and the talent in them is multi faceted yet they are the specially abled kids .The illustration above is of boy trying to capture the talent of another boy who is specially abled and has a melodious voice that is being cherished by all the people present there. The talent in the boy is heights above all the gaps of society a person would have to undergo being differently abled.
The boy there is not one who is taking the picture of a boy who is different then all but with a mindset of how and where all creativity can be unleashed as if sought for.
The activity that we have taken up i.e. drawing an illustration and describing it is meant for medium that will unzip our creativity which is buried deep in us, some people think that creativity is only in the way of how one performs a task and not in the way how it is executed. As here in the illustration we can see that the child who is singing is executing his talent at the same time fighting with the injustice, the one on the other end is trying to capture the way the talent is being showcased and trying to show that the persons is of great value to the one behind the camera.

A famous saying states that: “Its not the medium that decides how a picture is but the person behind is responsible for the way it looks.”

Use of Camera

With my Camera I love to click pictures, especially of the Nature.
Here in this drawing, there is a boy who's capturing a picture of plant from his mobile.
Well, this image reminds me of my childhood time, like how I used to click pictures with my mobile's VGA camera. I used to click everything and anything what I loved. Especially when its something related to nature.
When i was young I didn't have my own mobile, I used to take my father's cellphone and click the images of  small tulsi plant at my home. I don't know why but I loved it, sometimes during rain the different formations of cloud or the water logged on the roads people trying cross them I used to capture all those moments. Trying  to click images with different angles, playing with the camera adding various effects to the pic I loved that all.
Camera has changed a lot. The way it is used has also changed. Previously it was just used to click pictures and to capture those sad and happy moments spend with each other, but now sting operations are done with it ( khoooofia camera's that is what I call them ). It's also used as CCTV's, now camera's have become eyes for many.
"Pehle sab kehete thae ki camera aap ki nazaron se chup nahii sakta (kyunki vo itne bade hote thae)
par ab aap camere ki nazar se nahii chup saktey"
Because now camera's are everywhere, now the fashion or trend of those big camera's have gone and the small tiny-tiny camera's are in. Now you can find camera in pen, buttons and even on neck jewellery.
Though we all have seen the use of camera on television in the way of serials, movies but now there are many reality shows on television like Emotional Atayachaar, Axe ur Ex which are using the advance technology of camera for finding the hidden secretes and revealing them.
Some people are using this technology in right way but some are mis-using it.
Technology should always be used in the right way.

Corruption
THIS is very poor face of the indian society. The problem of CORRUPTION practices is prevalent in the society to such an extent that we can come across it in day to day life.In this picture one can see a corrupted minister taking bribe from a common man.And this is being captured by a journalist. The journalist wants to expose this malpractice.
But an another thing which should be considered is the contribution of the common people.Somewhere Somehow we too encourage corruption.Instead of opposing or standing up against corruption,we end up supporting for our benefit. It becomes our duty to raise our voice against this social evil........

MBITECH and I

Ask me about it?

Aint gonna lie to you..internet is my cup of tea.. I am lovin' it !

What is all this really about
?

MBITECH is an Madhubala Institute of Communication and Electronic Media(affiliated to GGSIPU) Journalism college (http://mbicem.org/) initiative to help its students understand internet and apply its use to do something big or at least something useful with their conventional, orthodox and boringly professional kinda life. MBITECH trainers include Patra sir and Shikha mam (check above 4 names).

Why care about it at all

No kidding guys/gals but whenever I am off work I use net. before sleeping I use the net, After returning from college I use the net, To Talk to my friend, I .. .. ..

Net is the easiest way to -

1. Make money
2. Save money
3. Get data for free which else would cost a lot of money (Talking in terms of knowledge) lol.
4. Come on guys don't tell me you don't know the uses of the internet

Where

The club's base is MBICEM computer lab (shhh..)

What will we learn which is so darn good

1. Nothing you are not aware of .. Websites but
But we will build our sites..at least learn how to do all that

2. A lot about designing and networking..check other posts for other functions

Now I can ramble on for very long.

Finally

The club has started. I am proud to be in it. Faculty is REALLY the best and the club; seems like a heaven made team from the very beginning.
They're cool.

Enough of the dude language. I love MBITECH club and feel great -

1. Ambiance
2. Atmosphere
3. Interaction
4. Co-ordination
5. Cooperation
6. I think you got my point

This is my last year in college and want to get as much training in as many fields as possible.

MBICEM is providing its students with way more than what GGSIPU BJ(MC) curricullum promises. I guess this college will after all make me a Journalist I came to become.
(straight from the heart - NOT promoting MBICEM college).

Exposure to Cyber Club

On Sep 10, we came to the college at 9 AM, and at the end, as usual the day was very tiring. Then we were told that there is a meeting of Cyber Club members . It was to be started at 3:45 pm. Then we went for the cyber club meeting. There we met our faculty Mr. Srimoy Patra and Ms. Shikha kukreja. We started with the group introduction as we found many new faces in cyber club and there were many unknown faces. We introduced ourselves. Then Mr Patra asked us to tell our positive and negative traits of character. Mr. Patra discussed and told us that we all should overcome this negative traits of our personality. Then Ms Shikha also guided us to stay happy and calm. And then she told us to close our eyes and think how can we take our cyber club on such a height where everyone recognizes its name. and after closing eyes when we opened it everyone came our with different innovative ideas. and then we decided to write blog daily to increase our writing skills and to continue our blog writing inspired by world bloggers day. And Ms. Shikha kukreja gave us this idea to make our cyber club popular. Most importantly we all were worried to give it a name which is unique in itself and we all come up with a idea to name it “MBITECH”. We have such a great faculty who is very friendly to us and always ready to help us day and night. We “MBITECH” students would like to thank our 2 diamonds (Mr. Srimoy Patra & Ms. Shikha Kukreja) who always work very hard for the success of our club. And at last I would like to pray and request you all to pray to almighty for MBITECH’s success. May our dream come true to make it shine like a star.

My Introduction to Cyber Club

On 10th of September I had my first meeting of Cyber Club. Didn't have the idea  what the club was all about! Well with my friends i entered our computer lab and the meeting started.
Firstly there was a discussion on the exhibition which was held a day back, as Mr.Patra our Graphic and Design lecturer told about the mistakes what we all  did in designing our visiting cards. Shikha mam told us about the problems what we faced in organizing the exhibition. One important thing that mam told was to work and learn as a team. Then there was a  general introduction, Mr.Patra asked everyone to tell their names and one thing what we like and dislike about ourself. We got a introduction about the Club from Mr.Patra. The importance of cyber club was discussed and the future plans were made.Sir also discussed about the different softwares we will be using, and also about the various activities which will be part of the club.

Then our expectations from the club were discussed and our club was a given a name MBITECH, sounds really cool!! Now we all were a part of MBITECfamily.
The first activity of our club was decided. Task was given to us we were asked to write blog. Our views and our experience of the first day at cyber club. From now onwards a member of  MBITECHfamily will write a blog every day.

So in the end it was really good meet and learnt a lot. I'm really happy to join cyber club and to be part of MBITECHfamily.....I will definetly ask my friends to join this club because it is something new and will give us all the knowledge about the new technology.

my first day in cyber club..

It was 10th of september when I attended the meeting of cyber club which has now got a new identity with the name "MBITECH". It was my first day in cyber club and it was really a very good experience with Shikha mam and Srimoy sir. The idea of joining the cyber club came into my mind when I participated in the world blogger's day. Although I was having the least knowledge about cyber club but when some of my classmates talked about this club, I really wanted to know how much interesting it is. The meeting started with a brief introduction in which every MBITECH student was asked to tell about his/ her negative and positive traits. Srimoy sir motivated us and tried to change our negative traits in to the positive ones. Shikha mam helped us in increasing our creativity level. Moreover, she gave a lot more innovative ideas to maintain a good image of MBITECH. The whole atmosphere there in the club was very friendly. We started discussing about the softwares we r going to learn in the coming days. Then all of us realised that its not an easy job, it requires much more hard work.
On the whole, I found that our next three years with the cyber club will be going to be very interesting and each and every student is going to work hard for the club (like I am doing right now writing a blog which I never thought to write after the blogger's day). But it was a really very nice experience with Shikha mam and Srimoy sir.

MBITECH rocks!!

Sunday, September 12, 2010

It all started on 31st Aug. when there was word blogger's day celebration in our college.Whole college participated in that. We were very nervous about what should we write, what is going to happen after it, but there was Miss Shikha Kukreja mam and Mr. Srimoy Patra sir to help us. They motivated us and lend their very helpful hands to all of us. They were very kind and helpful. Till then i was not the part of the Cyber Club at all. After the Blogger's Day I thaught that why shouldn't I become a member of that Cyber thing. Then I talked to my friends that we should join the Cyber Club of our college. It's a very new thing for us, some of them hesitated because they don't know much about it, but some of them agreed. So, we met Miss Shikha Kukreja mam. We told her that we want to join the Cyber Club. She was happy to see that many of us are really interested in it. And not only she was happy even we are very happy to join. After some days when we actually went for the club. Some of us was nervous and some of us excited, I put myself in both condition. Then we entered the Computer Lab where the Cyber Club was about to held. There we saw Mr. Srimoy Patra sir an Miss. Shikha Kukreja mam sitting together waiting for us. They greeted us with Good After Noon, so as we. They asked us to sit and relax. Then Mr. Patra sir asked us "What are the expectation of yours from this club ?" Everyone shared their thaughts even Srimoy sir. Both of them are so kind that they washed our nervousness in just a minute. They motivated us as well as made us enjoy oursself. They treated us as a freind their by their freindly talk. We all are really thankful to both of them for motivating us. I hope we get to see more of new members in the Cyber Club. And to see the Cyber Club above the high.

"Cyber Club"- What's that??

After the successful maiden venture of organising the World Bloggers' Day on 31st August, the Cyber Club at MBICEM under the able guidance of Mr Srimoy Patra and Ms Shikha Kukreja is now no longer just any group. It no longer exists just by name. It has found recognition from everyone, starting from the students to the faculty and to the Director, Mrs M B Julka. To maintain this newly found recognition and to discuss the various future prospects, the club had a very important meeting this afternoon.

A lot of things were discussed. We started with a quick round of introduction of the members. Each one went on to tell their own positive and negative traits. We were highly inspired by Patra Sir's motivational words which went on to discuss his expectations from each and every member of the club. under Shikha maam's guidance, we carried out an activity in which each one of us presented our point of view about what we expected from and for the club. It is not just that we have got to be techno-savvy, but also that the various club activities are going to help us to develop our creativity and other personal latent skills which is mandatory for any successful person in the media world. Dreaming big is good but just dreaming big is not good enough! We have got to aim high and work hard to achieve our objectives. By keeping faith in our strengths and working upon our weaknesses, we can actually see our 'big dreams' taking shape! And for any venture to be successful, working together in a group i.e. Team work, is absolutely indispensable.

Now if you are wondering about the title of this entry, then here's the best part of today's meeting: From now on, we are no longer going to be MBICEM's Cyber Club. We are now proud to call ourselves the members of MBITECH- introducing MBICEMites to the techno-savvy world of creative learning and personal development.

MBITECH's GONNA ROCK!!!
