Today India is celebrating dussehra which means victory over evil & darkness.....
but time has changed a lot now festivals have become one medium in ordre to make promotion,campaign etc.Now a days the people who organise dussehra in their colony or area often call MLA,MPor any other VIP...now these guest first of all are never on time due to which galaxy of people have to wait for hours n hours which includes children,ladies,old people...
after reachng these guest never speak on any ritual topic they always mix politics with lessons of ramayan.my grandmother once told me that earlier people used to burn ravana before sunset but now a days due to these VIP'S the festival gets over after sunset...so this shows that festivals also depend on those people who pays for it....
ON the second note time has come that we should start celebrating dussehra in eco-friendly way because when we burn all three statues(statues of kumkaran,meghnath,ravana)we give rise to air pollution.noise pollution,wastage of money etc.....
